Kendall Boone and Hannah Guy from Chippewa Hills have been included on the special mention all-state girls basketball list by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan. Boone averaged 11 points and eight rebounds and Guy 16.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

 

Ryan Wade of Laingsburg was on the honorable mention list named by the Associated Press for boys basketball. Wade scored 33 points for Laingsburg early in the season against Corunna.

 

Josh Appold and Ryan Appold of Saginaw Valley Lutheran were on the honorable mention list named by the Associated Press for boys basketball. Ryan Appold scored 25 points and Josh Appold had 13 points and 11 rebounds in the season opener.

 

Ethan Apsey and Brad Fleischmann of Hemlock were on the Class C all-state boys basketball team honorable mention list named by the Associated Press. In Hemlock’s upset over Saginaw Valley Lutheran in the districts, Apsey had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists. Fleischmann had nine points and five rebounds.

 

Keegan Giles of Breckenridge, Ryan Tilmann of Beal City and Jarid Walton of Coleman were on the Class C all-state boys basketball team named by the Associated Press. Giles scored 34 points in a win over Ashley. Tilmann had 14 points and five rebounds in a win over Marion. Walton had 18 points, 11 rebounds and five steals against Montabella.

 

Jake Ham and Kevin Sheibert of Sanford Meridian were on the Class C all-state boys basketball team by the Associated Press. In one game this season, Sheibert  had 23 points and eight rebounds while Ham added 16 points.

 

Amariontez Ivory of Flint Beecher was on the Class C all-state boys basketball team by the Associated Press. The honorable mention list included  DeWayne McKinney of Vestaburg and Kegan Giles of Breckenridge.

 

The Class C all-state boys basketball team by Associated Press included two players from Pewamo-Westphalia with Nick Spitzley on the first team and Lane Simon on the honorable mention list. In the Class C title game loss to Detroit Consortium, Spitzley scored 10 points while Simon had 23.

 

Dalton Trefil of Middleton-Fulton was on the Class D all-state boys basketball team honorable mention list recently announced by the Associated Press. He had nine points in his team’s biggest win of the season, a regional semifinal victory over Muskegon Catholic.

 

Jordan Terry of Lansing Christian was on the Class D all-state boys basketball team honorable mention list recently announced by the Associated Press. Terry averaged 18.6 points and 2.6 assists per game.
