Saginaw Heritage lost a boys track and field meet to Midland on Tuesday. Adam Chapman won the 100 meters in 11.28 seconds. Quentin Mack took the 100 meters in 11.5 seconds. Chris Lopez won the 400 meters in 53.03. Parker Eisengruber took the 800 meters in 2:04.5.  Heritage won the 1,600 relay in 3:36.9, 400 relay in 46.3 and the 3,200 relay in 8:37.

 

 

 

Midland’s boys track team reigned supreme with a victory over Saginaw Heritage on Tuesday. Logan Arnold won the 200 meters in 22.8. Jake Greer was first in the 1,600 meters in 4:43 and 3,200 meters in 10:33. Matt Jarema took the 110-meter hurdles in 16.78 and the 300 meter hurdles in 42.9. Midland won the 800 relay in 1:35. Field event winners were Branden Rytleski in the shot put at 43-0, Colin Colteson in the discus at 130-3, Chandler Tucker in the high jump at 5-8, Bryce Kantak in the pole vault at 12-7 and Logan Arnold in the long jump at 19-1.

Coleman was fourth for the girls in a home track and field meet on Tuesday. Amanda McDonald won the pole vault in 9-6. The 4×100 relay team was second in 59.1 seconds.

The Cedar Springs girls soccer team will resume action April 16 with a home match against Lowell.

The Cedar Springs girls tennis season opens at Thornapple Kellogg April 15 and continues with a home match April 16 against Comstock Park. Players include Alexis Wilks, Kellsie Rypma, Katie Schumann, Kristen Bull, Kelsey Kander, Rebecca Williams, Shannon Leal, Megan Brunett, Emma Schut, Julie Schut, Taylor Pierson, Cortney O’Brien, Kristi Coutchie, Katarina Scrivener, Jordan Ackerman, Mariah Rios and Jessica Brunett.

Rockford’s girls track team will be led this season by 13 seniors.

 

The 12th graders are Madison Trimble, Shae Suggitt, Madison Rains, Laura Resag, Morgan Harney, Bri Malstrom, Lauren Brasure, Kayla Kidder, Mia Wackley, Sophie Pieroen, Renee Hillman, Emile C. Bache and Ledicia Diaz Lego.

Rockford’s boys track team will be led this season by 13 seniors.

 

The 12th-graders are Garrett Prost, Spencer Keating, Matthew Albano, Jeremy Ortiz-Ellis, Corey McIntyre, Shawn Bloch, Brandon Sanchez, Kenan Swihart, Nate Woznak, John McGregor, Collin Carriere, Jason Leon and John Montoya.

 

The Rockford boys golf season will begin Tuesday, April 15, at NorthPointe Christian for the Rockford Rams. Seniors leading the attack for Rockford are Grant Keller, AJ Vrekois and Ethan Weaver.

 

Three seniors lead the attack for the Rockford girls tennis team this season. Paula Downs, Courtney Federson and Samantha Harrell will look to give the Rams key leadership. The season starts April 16 at Grand Haven.
