Morley Stanwood beat Reed City on Friday 9-2. RC won the second game 9-8. Tim Cairnduff took the win from the mound in the first game, pitching five innings with eight strikeouts while allowing just two hits. Grannis took the loss for the Coyotes as he tossed 10 strikeouts. Chase Huntey started off an impressive day at the plate in the opener, going 4-for-4 with three extra base hits and 2 RBIs while Mike Carey and Austin Kozlowski had two and three RBIs, respectively. Huntey pitched a one-hitter of five-hit ball in the second game before Reed City rallied. Huntey was 4-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBIs. Morley Stanwood is 4-4 overall.

Montabella’s boys golf team shot a 467 in the Alma Panther Invitational on Monday. Josh Balhorn had a 96, followed by Mike Hyde with 100, Dakoda Lobert with 102, Cameron Nisonger with 160 and Dalton Claybaugh with 225.
