Shepherd’s boys track and field team finished 10th on Friday with 69 points in the Shepherd Blue Jay Invitational. Toren Sanchez tied for the high jump in second at 6-0 and Jeremiah Salisbury was a place behind him at 5-10.
Breckenridge’s boys track team finished ninth on Friday with 72.5 points in the Shepherd Blue Jay Invitational. Kyle Wheeler of Brecke nridge won the pole vault in 13-0. Kyle Smith won the discus in 142-6.
Big Rapids Crossroads’ boys track and field team took eighth with 87.33 points in the Shepherd Bluejay Invitational meet on Friday. Andy Duddles won the 400 meters in 52.10 and the 200 meters in 23.67. Paul Ruelle was third in the shot put at 44-2 1/2. Billy Wojnowski was second in the 100 meters in 11.75 seconds.
Clare’s track and field team for boys finished seventh with 108.99 points in the Shepherd Blue Jay Invitational. Kevin Spicer-Torres was third in the 800 meters in 2:03.13. Hunter Nivison won the 1,600 meter run in 4:30.66. Chase Field tied for second in the pole vault at 12-0.
Mount Pleasant’s track and field team finished fifth with 119 points in Friday’s Shepherd Blue Jay Invitational track and field meet. Kaleb Perry cleared the high jump 6-2 for first place. The foursome of Evan Huber, Steven Green, Kalebb Perry and Jake Mogg was first in the 800-meter relay at 1:34.95 and 400 relay in 45.41.
Ionia was fourth with 123.5 points in the Shepherd Blue Jay Invitational track and field meet on Friday. Marshall Rademacher was second in the 400-meter dash in 53.35.
St. Louis was third in the Shepherd Blue Jay Invitational track and field meet last Friday with 133 points. The 3,200-meter relay team of Parker Morris, Collin Shaw, Conner Pilmore and Zack Ross was second in 8:28.15.
Alma’s boys track team was first with 150.5 points in the Shepherd Blue Jay Invitational track and field meet last Friday. Malcolm Davis placed first in the 100 meters at 11.62 seconds while Chase Austin won the 110 hurdles in 16.58 seconds.
Carson City-Crystal won the first game of a doubleheader 10-0 over Montabella last week but lost the nightcap 4-3. The Eagles are 7-4-2. Tabor Erskin pitched a four-hitter. Tyler Krzemenski had two hits and three RBIs for the Eagles.
