Morley Stanwood’s softball team split a doubleheader with Belding on Tuesday. The Mohawks won the first game 5-3 but Belding took the rematch 6-1. Mallory Raven was the winning pitcher in the first game for the Mohawks. Mekayla Carey had three hits for the day.

Sanford Meridian swept Morley Stanwood 1-0 and 6-4 in baseball action on Tuesday. Chase Huntey was the losing pitcher in the first game. Nic Huntey had two hits and four RBIs in the second game.

 

Big Rapids’ Crossroads soccer season came to an end on Tuesday with an 8-0 loss to Muskegon Western Michigan Christian in the regional semifinals on Tuesday. It was 6-0 at halftime. Coach Ross Meads’ Crossroads team had won its first district title.

 

Coach Ryan Vellanti’s Lakeview baseball team ended its season at 9-16 with a 3-0 loss to Morley Stanwood in the district semifinals Saturday. Kyler Ridgeway was the losing pitcher. Garrett Cavendish and Calvin Englund had two hits apiece for Lakeview. 

 

Central Montcalm’s baseball season ended at 12-22 with a 4-0 loss to Evart in the district semifinals for coach Bob Luginbuhl’s team on Saturday. Oryan Wetherington had the only hit for Central Montcalm. Noah Spohr was the losing pitcher.

 

Belding’s baseball team ended its season at 12-22 in the districts with a 15-1 loss to East Grand Rapids, The Redskin were guilty of five errors.

 

Rockford’s softball team edged Greenville 10-7 in eight innings in the Division I districts on Saturday. Alecia Moore was the losing pitcher. Sarah Newhouse and Elizabeth Niemiec had three hits each for Greenville.

Rockford’s baseball team mercied Greenville to end the season for the Yellow Jackets Saturday at the districts 15-0. Greenville’s season ended at 15-14. Parker Syrjala was the losing pitcher.

 

Lakeview’s softball team lost and ended its season at 8-20-1 with a 14-0 loss to Morley Stanwood on Saturday in the district semifinals. Myranda Lake and Sadie Massie had Lakeview’s only two hits.

 

Morley Stanwood, 18-15-1, defeated Central Montcalm 8-2 Saturday for the Division 3 district title game. Mallory Raven threw a no-hitter to be the winning pitcher. Mekayla Carey had two hits and four RBIs.
