Gladwin junior Donald Corlew made school history in the Flying G’s week two win against Harrison.
A junior slotback on offense and defensive back on defense, Corlew totaled 290 yards from scrimmage that broke the previous record of 290 set by Doug Redman in 1960.
Corlew totaled 301 yards, not including his passing yards. Corlew also caught three touchdown passes and rushed for a touchdown. Gladwin sophomore quarterback Colton Pfenninger had a big had in Corlew’s big night with his passing skills.
Corlew also contributed to the passing game as he threw a 59-yard touchdown pass to junior Jayden Mieske.
Gladwin defeated Harrison 48-6 to improve to 2-0 for the season. The Flying G’s return to action in week three against Shepherd.
