Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity claimed a 14-5 victory on Tuesday, despite a big push by Alma in the third inning.
Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning.  Drew Titsworth singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity put up seven runs in the second inning.  Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity big bats were led by Hunter Bernthal, Titsworth, Tyler McKinstry, Dayne Reif, Thomas Conzelmann, and  Jake Andrews, who all drove in runs.
Titsworth got the win for Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity. The righty surrendered five runs on five hits over six innings, striking out nine.  Reif threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Fry took the loss for Alma. Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity tallied 13 hits on the day.  Deiner, Titsworth, McKinstry, Reif, and Andrews all collected multiple hits for Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity.  Titsworth and Deiner each collected three hits to lead Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity.
Alma saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game.  Thompson and Sutherland all managed multiple hits for Alma.  Alma was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Chiodini had the most chances in the field with six.
