Friday afternoon the Eagle track & field teams competed at the Ithaca Blue & Gold Invitational.
The girls finished 11th of 15 schools and 4th amongst Division 4 schools.
Medaling (finishing top 6)–was Aubrey Hessbrook (2nd in the Long Jump, and 5th in the High Jump).
The boys finished 13th of 15 schools and 6th amongst Division 4 schools.
Medaling for the boys were Deegan Bodell (5th, 3200m), Kristian Coon (6th, 3200m), and the 4x800m relay team of Oisin O’Grady, Deegan Bodell, Carter Clark, and Kristian Coon (4th).
Coach Grant Woodman of CC-C: “We had some great performances today. We had 13 boys and 3 girls set personal records, and for only the 2nd competition of the season, they keep getting better and better. We are starting to find places and events for those new to the varsity level and the goals of contending for conference honors and making it to the state meet are still within reach. We still have work to do before the Regional Meet on May 20th”.
The next meets for the Eagles are the first MSAC jamboree on Wednesday April 26, and then on Friday April 28th at the Clare Invitational.
