  1. 4. 4.) What expectations do you have of your team this season?

Boys: getting back on top of the podium at state finals for the 3rd straight year

Girls: sending the whole team to state finals

As a whole, just being one big happy family.

  1. 5. 5.) What will be your team’s strength?

Having depth on the boy’s side will be key.

On the girls side adding 3 freshman will give us a better shot to make state finals as a team.

  1. 6. 6.) What are some things this team needs to work on?

Growing as a whole and getting better each and every day.

  1. 6. 7.) Your conference: How strong is it and who would you consider the league favorites? Where do you see your team fitting into the league race?

Boys: it will be another year of going back and forth with Carson City. Both of our teams are very similar in strength and will be fun to see all 3 races unfold.

Girls: Mt Pleasant Sacred Heart will again be the favorites.

  1. 7. 8.)  How has it been to have a preseason like this with the lessening of COVID restrictions?

Preseason has been much better without covid related things going on. The athletes seem to have a better sense of well-being and are having fun again.

9.) Any other comments?

Just a heavy heart with one of our guys being gone, but we seem to be doing better each and every day. It has been a heartwarming feeling with the amount of support we have been given from other schools in the state and we want to say a huge thank you for that. The cross country family that is our great state is forever thankful for all support.
