Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity defeated Freeland 9-2 on Tuesday thanks to a timely five runs in a big second inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Cole Lindow, Riley Roy, Dayne Reif, and Drew Titsworth.
In the second inning, Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity got their offense started when Lindow singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Nick Torrez was credited with the victory for Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity. The righthander went seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking zero.
Duley took the loss for Freeland. The pitcher allowed eight hits and five runs over two innings, walking one.
Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity racked up 13 hits. Davin Reif, Roy, Jacob Bellinger, and Titsworth each collected multiple hits for Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity. Reif led Frankenmuth Eagles Varsity with three hits in four at bats.
Freeland saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. R Quackenbush and Cannom all managed multiple hits for Freeland. Freeland didn’t commit a single error in the field. Quackenbush had the most chances in the field with seven.
