The Frankenmuth boys varsity bowling team traveled to Saginaw’s LaFever Family Bowling Center to face Novel Catholic Central in a TVC crossover match. The Eagles haven’t bowled on the challenging (Allen Oil Pattern) a lot this season and they struggled coming out of the gate in there Baker games. They took Baker #1 154 to 140 and then Baker #2 162 to 101. They through plenty of strikes but struggled with spares and splits to start the day.
As the first Peterson game started out, things started to come together and a few Eagles found there line. Alec Martin continued throwing the ball very well with a nice 200 game effort. Anchorman Hunter Garchow also chimed in with a nice 190. The Eagles took that game 842 to 567. Baker Gamer #2 saw lead off man Cameron Severs lead the way with a nice 203 and Garchow again fired a nice 180. The Eagles had plenty of support through out the line up to deliver another solid 845 to 670 win. The Eagles took all but one head to head points for a Final 29 to 1 victory over Nouvel. Coaches Comments: Bowling on this oil pattern in this bowling center is exactly what we needed. With Regionals only 6 days away we need all the shots we can throw on this pattern. I thought the boys did pretty good today, we are getting close to being where we need to be. We will be working hard again this week on spare shooting as we did last week in practice. We will have an opportunity to practice at Northern lanes this Wednesday on the oil pattern for Regionals. Were looking forward to the challenge and excitement of it all. Garchow, Martin and Severs are pretty dialed in and are looking to make a bid in the singles competition. You can watch all the action live this Friday at 2 pm on the Frankenmuth Bowling Facebook page. |
