Comments East Lansing jumped out to a 10 – 2 lead early in the first quarter. The Redwings cut the lead to 10 – 5 mid-way through the first quarter. However, the Trojans finished the first quarter on a 16 – 6 run to build a 26 – 11 lead. East Lansing continued to expand their lead through the 2nd and 3rd quarter and took a 53 – 25 lead into the 4th quarter. The Redwings made one final run at the Trojans by going on a 10 – 2 run to begin the 4th quarter and trailed 55 – 35. St. Johns could get no closer as East Lansing finished the game on a 10 – 4 run of their own to seal the victory.
