Nouvel defeated MLS 59-55 in a boys basketball Saturday matinee. Nouvel took a double digit lead in the third quarter but MLS fought back and cut the lead to four in the fourth quarter to make it a close game. The Panthers came up with a couple of big stops late in the fourth to seal the victory. Devin Smith led Nouvel with 17 points. M.J. Yeager had 16 (5 3’s) and Jon Tunney finished with 12 for Nouvel. Jack VanLue and Drew Reif both led MLS with 12 points. Tobias Edgett also dished out seven assists for MLS. MLS played at Millington on Monday.
