Comments The Redwings were able to build an 18 – 8 lead mid-way through the 2nd quarter led by 9 points for Rachel Rustad. Ionia closed the half on a 9 – 5 run and cut the Redwings lead to 23 – 17 at half time. Ionia scored first after half time and cut the lead to 23 – 20. The game remained close throughout the 2nd half. With the Redwing leading 34 -31 late in the 4th quarter, Lexi Maloney made a layup to extend the lead to 36 -31. The Redwings finished the game making free throws to seal the victory.
