The Montabella Varsity girls basketball team travelled to Ashley for their second matchup against the Bears this season. Down by one after the first quarter, and a slow offensive second quarter put the Mustangs at a 16-21 disadvantage at half time. A great team effort in the third quarter, added 21 points for the Mustangs and just 8 for the Bears. 12 points from Mya Scott, 6 from Sara Courser and 3 from Lexi Jordan rounded the quarter out and the Mustangs were up by 10. A 19 point fourth quarter sealed the deal, and the Mustangs won 56-42. As a team, the girls shot 8/10 from the three point line in the second half. The Mustangs were lead offensively by Mya Scott with 20 points, Sara Courser with 12 points, and Lexi Jordan with 6. The girls play at home on Friday as they look to flip the score against Vestaburg.
