| In the season opener, and under new JV coach Mike Corby, the Frankenmuth Lady Eagles JV team lost to a good Flushing team in overtime 44-36. The Eagles held a 19-14 lead at halftime, and during a back and forth second half, played tough against a solid Flushing defense. After a made layup by Kierstyn Bully to put Frankenmuth ahead by 2 points, a Flushing player drained a running jumper with time running out to put the game into overtime. In a close overtime, Flushing pulled ahead at the end of game when the Eagles were forced to foul. Leading the Eagles were Ella Persails with 12 points (included 4/4 free throws and two 3 pointers), and Kierstyn Bully canned 8 points. A total of 8 Lady Eagles contributed to the scoreboard. |
