Varsity volleyball team traveled to Shepherd this past Saturday to play a quad again St Loud, Ithaca, and Shepherd. Montabella coach: We started the morning off shaky and not awake as we played against St Louis. We came out much more awake and aware in the second match, but lost both matches 8-25 and 17-25. Makenna Jensen had 5 kills that game and 13 passes. We went into the next match against Ithaca where we had multiple touches on the blocks to assist our passers in the back row. We struggled at the serving line and ended the matches in a loss 7-25 and 13-25. Our final game was against Shepherd with our heads held high ready to play. We covered the court much better, had consistent serves, along with more swings at the net. Madison Jordan, Alexis Jordan, and Makenna Jensen each went home with 2 kills. Sydney Adgate and Lilly Lobert continue to assist us in the back row with their passes. We had a tough fight, but lost 16-25 and 17-25. You can see the girls play at St Charles Tuesday night and our final game before districts Wednesday against Fulton at home. Both games start at 7. |
