The Ovid-Elsie Lady Marauders overcame a sluggish start and came away with a 40-15 win over Webberville to improve to 14-5 on the season on Tuesday. Caitlyn Walter had a team high 9 points while Lauren Barton and Braylon Byrnes each added 8 points. Tristin Ziola chipped in with 6 points, Kalista Bancroft 3 points, Onie Rademacher 2 points and Allison Reppenhagen a free throw to round out the scoring.
“We’ve been battling some sickness this week,” said Head Coach Ryan Cunningham. “We were without our point guard tonight and I think it affected our rhythm a bit.”
Lauren Barton, in her last home game as a Marauder, added 12 rebounds and 4 steals, while Reppenhagen and Walter each grabbed 5 rebounds and Kaylee Hall added 5 steals.
