The Montabella Mustangs hosted the Beavers of Beaverton on Tuesday night. The Beavers came out hot and took a 28-14 1st quarter lead on the Mustangs. The Mustangs refused to go down easy however, holding Beaverton to just 4 points in the second quarter, battling their way back to within 8 at the half.  But a 3rd quarter outburst from the Beavers put the game away as the Mustangs could not mount a 2nd comeback. The final score would read Beaverton 68,Montabella 45.

JT Smith scored 22 for the Mustangs as Caleb Theisen scored 8, while Oskar Kihl, the Mustangs foreign exchange student, scored his first ever basket as well.
The Mustangs host Sacred Heart on Friday night, along with the rescheduled Coaches vs. Cancer event on Saturday, February 22nd, which will include a full slate of boys and girls basketball, from youth, high school, and alumni, along with fundraising opportunities for The American Cancer Society, and a Spaghetti Diner as well.
