Hemlock’s boys basketball team defeated St. Charles 70-56 on Tuesday. Hemlock had quarter leads of 17-6, 37-23 and 58-32. St. Charles had a 24-12 edge in the final eight minutes. Hemlock is 9-1 overall and 8-1 in the TVC West.

Jayden Evans had 21 points while Brady Devereaux had 16 and Michael Zolinski had 13. Devereaux had nine boards and Zolinski seven. Nolan Finkbeiner had eight assists and Jayden Evans three. Evans had four steals. Joey Gonzalez had 21 points and Jayce Raebe 14 for St. Charles.

Hemlock coach Matt Bauer: “We really ran the floor well tonight. Finkbeiner got the ball ahead in transition and Evans and our big guys did a lot of finishing. Both Evans and Devereux had terrific games tonight. St. Charles is a good team with some good quickness and shooters. They made nine 3-pointers in the game tonight and really finished strong with 24 points in the fourth.”

Hemlock will host Valley Lutheran on Friday.
