The Freeland volleyball team defeated Garber tonight to remain in second place in the TVC West Division. 

The Falcons jumped out to a 10-2 lead over the Dukes. Freeland had a near flawless set with zero service errors, 3 attack errors and no reception errors to take set one 25-7.
 
The Dukes were not to be counted out as they switched leads with every server to 18 points when Leiya Rybicki put the Falcons in the lead at 22-18 with strong serving that included 2 aces. Freeland closed the set out with a 25-20 win.
 
The third and final set was again close through 10 points when Freeland took the lead and never looked back. Caitlinn Pistro went on a serving run for 5 points with 2 aces to set up Leiya Rybicki to win the set 25-17 with an ace.
 
The Falcons were led by Pistro and Rybicki with 3 aces each and Elli Howard with 15 kills. Caroline Talaga added 10 kills and 1 block. Kadyn Blanchard had 2 blocks, 5 digs and hit .444. Pistro and Allie Reams teamed up for 26 digs; 12 and 14 respectively. Elizabeth Shea led the team with 27 assists.
 
The win tonight brought the Falcon’s conference record to 4-1 and 21-8-2 for the season. Freeland will be back in action on Saturday, October 19 at the St. Louis Tournament beginning at 8:00 am.
