The Big Rapids boys cross country team came home with the win in the White Division of Friday’s Montabella Invitational with 54 points, finishing ahead of the second place team Cadillac who ended with 72 points.
Coach Giselle Taurainen: “Senior Kaden Torres continues to lead our team at every meet, but he is closely followed by freshman Ben Knuth. This win was definitely a team effort top to bottom with every runner picking off runners in the final stretch. Our top 5 boys all walked away with medals by finishing in the top 30.
“On the girls side, senior Hanna Brock & sophomore Kate Langworthy are still consistently racing side by side & leading our girls team. The girls team ended with a 4th place finish.”
