Lindsey Ackels is coaching an Ashley volleyball team, in her first year.
Mackenzie Jelinek is a senior and all-around player ready to help the Bears. Ashley Gavenda is a senior all-around player. Isabelle Krenek is a senior middle hitter. Kellie Brown is another senior all-around player.
“We want to become a unified team that strives to have a successful season,” Ackels said. “We’ll have determination and communication.”
Gavenda, Ackels said, a fourth-year varsity player, “is successful and a very great leader on and off the court, disciplined, accountable patient, and aggressive when needed. Each year she develops stronger, as an athlete but is a good player mentally and physically.”
