| BAD AXE – The Millington Cardinal volleyball team kicked their season off on Saturday at the Bad Axe Invite. The Cardinals finished pool play in third place splitting with Cass City (21-25, 25-21), Midland (25-23, 19-25), and Imlay City (23-25, 25-20).
Millington then advanced to the Gold Bracket losing to Midland in a rematch by the scores of 25-16 and 25-15. Leading the way on the day for Millington was senior Darrien Roberts who had 42 digs. Hailey Crump had 26 digs. Nevaeh Hendricks had 22 kills and 18 assists. Kate Cooper had 16 kills, 28 assists, and 20 digs. Millington (0-1-3) next takes the court on Wednesday, September 4 when they kick off conference play at Carrollton. |
