Freeland Volleyball fell to Merrill in the semifinal match at the Perry Tournament over the weekend, 20-25, 20-25.
The Falcons went undefeated in pool play to earn the number one seed into the 8 team playoff by beating Ovid Elsie 25-9, 25-8; Leslie 25-12, 25-13; and Durand 25-16, 25-14. Freeland toppled the host, Perry, 25-8, 25-8 in the quarter finals.
To Falcons were lead by seniors, Leiya Rybicki with 47 assists and 8 aces, while Caitlinn Pistro and Elli Howard both added 21 kills. Seniors Caroline Talaga and Kadyn Blanchard both had 3 blocks. Freshman. Elizabeth Shea paced the Falcons with 13 aces.
Freeland will be back in action as host to a quad on Wednesday, August 28.
