Reese won the Invitational beating Boyne City 9-0, Clinton 11-2 and Byron 11-5. The final game, which was for the championship, was won in the 8th after the game went to the international tie breaker.
Abigal Huizar picked up the win in all 3 games. She pitched a 4 hitter in the 1st game against Boyne City striking out 8 with no walks.
In the 2nd game against Clinton she allowed 3 hits with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Abby pitched the final 5 innings against Byron allowing 6 hits and striking out 7.

The international tie breaker was put into play in the championship game against Byron after bring tied 5-5 in regulation. Lauren Scramlin and Katie Ratajczak each knocked in 2 runs apiece in the 8th to help put the game away. This was the 2nd tournament win in the last 2 weeks. Last week it was the Calvin Christian Invitational. Both were won via the international tie breaker.
