BIRCH RUN – All-State junior Madison Hahn is having the best year of her career so far for the Millington softball team. Hahn is hitting an astonishing .676 through the Cardinals first 11 games. On Wednesday night in Birch Run, Hahn went 5-8 with two home runs and eight RBIs. She currently has a team-leading 26 RBIs on the young season.

Gabbie Sherman threw a complete game shutout in the game one 20-0 victory. Sherman struck out 10 batters and allowed only one hit. Sherman went 2-2 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs.

Darrien Roberts collected three hits, including a triple and a home run with four RBIs. Leah Denome, Sydney Bishop, Hannah Rabideau, and McKenna Slough each had two hits.

Game two saw Millington go down 3-0 early before scoring 18 consecutive runs to get the 18-3 four-inning mercy win.

Bishop had four hits to lead Millington. She also scored three runs and had one RBI to give her 183 for her career.

Denome and Sherman each collected three hits and scored two runs. They had four and three RBIs respectively.

Slough had two hits, while Roberts, Rabideau, and Cecilia Ramirez each had one hit.

Sabrina Gates won her fifth game of the year. She struck out three batters and allowed two hits in her four innings of work.

Millington (11-0) and currently ranked #1 in Division 3 will host Garber High School (8-2), currently an Honorable Mention ranking in Division 2, on Wednesday, May 1. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
