Reese ended up 1-2 at the Beaverton Tournament on Saturday. Reese lost 13-10 in the 1st game to Standish-Sterling, lost 2-1 to Cabrini and then beat Ithaca 8-1.
Abigal Huizar took the loss in the 1st game allowing 4 earned runs. She also led the hitting with 3 hits, including a double and 2 RBI, while Lauren Scramlin added 2 hits and Josie Johnson had 2 RBI on a single as part of their 9 hit attack.
Madi Osantowski took the loss in the second game while striking out 2 batters.
Josie Johnson, Abbie Huizar, Madi Thompson and Lauren Scramlin each had one hit.
Abbie picked up the win against Ithaca with relief help from Maddi. Abbie allowed 2 hits and struck out 6 in the 1st 4 innings while Maddi allowed 1 hit and struck out 3 in her 2 innings of work.
Abbie picked up 4 more hits including a double (she was 8 for 11 on the day) while Madi Thompson added 3 hits including a double and 2 RBI,Savannah Comstock had 3 hits, Jordynn Roberts had 2 hits and 2 RBI and Josie Johnson had 2 hits.
This brings our record to 5-2.
