This was an intense game from the opening whistle. We got a few early turnovers and closed the first on a 14-6 run. We led by as many as 11 in the second (28-17) & 15 (36-21) in the third. But Vestaburg just wouldn’t go away. They cut it to 4 pts twice (46-42 & 49-45). But we maintained our composure & Logan was clutch shooting Fts once again in crunch time, making 5 of 6 in the final 2 mins. Connor had a great all around game as usual.
Freeman was a beast tonight. We couldn’t stop him inside. Vestaburg is well coached and they played their hearts out tonight. I’d put them up against any 1 win team in the state.
We are now 11-10. This is the first time Coleman has had 11 wins since the 2009/10 season (11-9). This is also our first district win since 2012/13. Both these feats have been accomplished in more than a decade. I am very proud of that!
We play Big Rapids Crossroads Academy on Wednesday at MPSH. They are 19-1 & ranked 11th in the state in division 4 (Max Preps). It’s going to be a tough game!
