Coleman coach Clark Swerdan: We played good and gave ourselves a chance to win the game late. We played 2 of the top 3 teams in the conference tough in less than 24 hours. The guys played hard and I’m proud of them.
Connor & Kam kept us in the game offensively. They both scored the ball well.
We just committed too many turnovers and lost the rebounding battle decisively.
Dominic Beauchamp hit a short baseline jumper to tie the game at 60, with 6 seconds left.
Montabella got a lead late in overtime and we had to foul & Riley hit all 6 Fts to keep the game out of reach.
We had our chances again tonight & that’s all you can ask for against a good team.
We are now 8-9 (5-7 in MSAC). We play at Ashley on Monday.
Montabella also won the JV game in OT, 44-42. Jaden Bovee had 14 pts.
