Crossroads faced off at home against the Bulldogs of Mesick tonight and lost in a hard-fought battle of 4 sets 3-1. The night started off rougher than the girls were hoping with a loss of the first match 15-25. They stepped up the energy in the second match and came back to win 26-24. The energy stayed high in the third match, but we couldn’t hold the lead and lost 17-25 pushing us to play harder in the 4th match in hopes of taking it to 5 for the night. With a back and forth at the end of the 4th match, the Cougars lost to a short serve that ended the match 26-28. Mackenzie Cole and Natalie Chapman had a strong defense in the back row: Kenzie had a total of 38 passes while Natalie had 28. Triston Murray had 4 aces from the serving line while Samantha Taylor helped out with 12 serve receive passes. In the front row, Kenzie Cole had 9 assists while Jada Meeuwes had 6 kill, and Natalie Chapman led in blocks.
