Central Montcalm Varsity Volleyball competed in the Ovid Elsie Tournament on Saturday, October 6. The lady hornets took 2nd out of 5 teams. We defeated Bath (25-18, 25-23), Ovid Elsie (25-23, 25-17) and split with Hemlock (25-19, 21-25) and Garber (24-26, 25-15). This placed CM as the 1 seed where we played Garber a second time in the championship game. Garber defeated CM in 3 sets (25-20, 21-25, 6-15).
Hannah Putnam led the team with 35 kills, 4 blocks, 6 digs and 13 aces.
Addisen Peterman had 20 kills and 2 blocks.
Kiley Guelzo had 17 kills
Bailey Vissman had 16 kills, 4 blocks, 12 digs.
Bree Harris had 31 digs,while Haley Baker had 23.
Jessie Tanner had 82 assists, 10 kills and 18 digs.
CM is now 16-8-7 overall (3-2 in league).
CM is at Reed City tomorrow for a league game, and have a home quad on Thursday the 11th.
