Beal City’s Owen Gross and Kaylee Locke both earned individual Highland Conference Cross Country Championships yesterday as they finished as top boy and top girl for the second straight Highland Jamboree, locking up the honors. This was a repeat achievement for Kaylee as she was the 2017 girls’ champion, as well. Tailor Onstott, in her first season, finished both jamborees close behind Kaylee to guarantee herself the girls’ runner-up position for 2018. The three finished 1, 3, 4 overall to lead the Jr. Aggie team to a second straight runner-up finish. Owen (12:01), Kaylee (12:13), and Tailor (12:18) all posted their season best times while Genevieve Lasater and Rylee Sisco completed the team’s scoring. Haylee Long and Addyson Zuker, the team’s 6th and 7th finishers, both also recorded season best times with Addy dropping nearly three minutes over her last two races. Up next is Saranac next Tuesday. Congrats, Aggies!
