Beal City runners are fourth

The second of three Highland Conference Cross Country Jamborees was hosted by Lake City at Roscommon High School on Tuesday. The Beal City boys’ varsity team improved from 5^th in Jam #1 to 4^th yesterday with 87 points, just eight points out of third and eleven back from second. Alex Taylor placed 7^th with Derek Gross in 9^th and Levi Eisenbach in 15^th. Matthew Kolb and Nathan Reihl rounded out the Aggie scoring in 29^th and 32^nd. In his second career race, Nathan Coston improved by nearly two minutes while Travis Faber also dropped his season best by nearly a minute. Rachal Weber matched her brother Alex with a 7^th place finish in the girls’ race and Emma Gross gained a place from Jam #1 when she crossed in 11^th. The teams will compete next at the Saranac Color Run next Tuesday.
