It was a rough night for the Crossroads football team against the Mesick Bulldogs. Mesick came out of the gates fast taking a commanding 28-0 lead in the first quarter. They scored one more time before the Cougars answered back with a nice drive capped off by a 2-yard plunge by John Schultz. Tyler Omo added the extra point. That was as close as the Cougars ever got as Mesick pulled away for the 71-7 win. The Cougars were placed on the ground by David Peck with 26 yards on 11 carries. Hunter Walsh threw for 43 yards. On defense, Schultz led the team with 7 tackles. Jed Peck had 4 tackles with one being a quarterback sack. The Cougars are back in action next Friday at 7pm against the Baldwin Panthers for Homecoming.
