The St. Louis volleyball team went 4-1 hosting the Sunset Invitational on Saturday. In pool play, they beat Chippewa Hills 25-11, 25-20 and Fulton 25-12, 25-12. In a pool crossover seeding match, they beat Pewamo Westphalia 25-19, 27-25. In the gold bracket quarterfinals, they beat Alma 25-16, 25-17. In the gold semifinals they lost to Beal City 25-19, 22-25, 9-15. The team is now 12-15-3 overall and plays Ithaca on Wednesday in league action.
Leaders for the Sharks are Madeline Greenup with 15 aces, 3 assists, and 36 digs; Megan Greenup with 9 aces, 81 assists, 21 kills, 29 digs, and 1 block; Korah Honig with 2 aces, 1 assist, 11 kills, 7 digs, and 6 blocks; and Rylyn Hrabal with 7 aces, 1 assist, 25 kills, and 28 digs.
