The Big Rapids Girls Golf team continues to roll through CSAA play. The Cardinals shot a 357 on Tuesday at Waters Edge GC in Fremont. The Cardinals have built a 326 stroke lead over 4 CSAA tournaments. Hope Thebo led the team with an 81. Lauren Posey posted her personal best on the year with an 84. Lauren had 2 birdies on her round. Holly McKenna had a 93. Avery Chaput posted one of her best rounds of the year with a 99. Payton Fuller-114 and Kiali Stout shot a 119. Our girls played a good round on a tough golf course today. Big Rapids coach Mark Posey: “I was really proud of Avery Chaput for working hard on her game this past week and being mentally tough in today’s round. I think being focused really helped all of them today. They really came in wanting to do well. It was also awesome watching Freshman Kiali Stout shoot her best round of the year too. She continues to improve and learn what it takes to play at a varsity level. The Cardinals back in action next Monday at their own Lady Tullymore Invite.”
