Beal City’s Owen Gross (12:49.3), Kaylee Locke (12:59.1), and Tailor Onstott (13:00.0) finished 1, 2, 3 in the combined gender format of Tuesday’s Highland Conference Jamboree #1 at Evart. The group trailed one Evart boy at the mile mark and then all three moved to the front in the final mile. Genevieve Lasater (28th, 15:33.6) and Rylee Sisco (38th, 16:07.5) filled out the Jr. Aggie scoring for a runner-up team finish seventeen points behind McBain and eight ahead of third place Manton. The team will focus on training for the next week and a half before heading to the fast and competitive Carson City Don Baese Invite on Saturday, September 29th.
