Owosso’s cross country traveled to Bath today to compete in the Bret Clements Bath Invitational. “After a few weeks of hot weather, we were more than excited with the cool temperatures and it showed in the race results,” a team spokesperson said. “Our boys’ team finished with 11 out of 14 runners hitting their personal record times with the other three still earning season best times. To say we ran well today would be an understatement. Jordan Sowash continues to impress with another 2nd place result, losing only to returning FML champion Tyler Buchanan. Mason Collard also earned a 22nd place medal.

“Our girls’ team also had a great showing with only 1 athlete not able to get either a PR or a season record. She (Mirranda Libbey) was able to finish in 21st place and earn a medal though, despite fighting through a mild injury. Otherwise, most of the other girls were able to take over a minute off their season best times.”
