Beal City Cross Country ran Thursday evening on the course the Aggies will return to for Regionals as they competed in the John Bruder Classic in Shepherd. The Aggie boys dropped a minute and a half off their team time as they placed 5th among 12 schools in Small School Division. Alex Taylor was Beal’s number one when he crossed in 13th at 18:10.9. The balance of the team’s scoring five was led by Levi Eisenbach (25th, 19:08.1) and completed by Derek Gross (32nd, 19:41.0), Matthew Kolb (35th, 20:03.3), and Nathan Reihl (36th, 20:09.2). Nine of ten Aggie boys improved their season best, including a lifetime best by Jacob Vollmar. Both Aggie girls dropped nearly 1:30 off their previous best and earned top-10 finishes in the Small School Division. Rachal Weber was 8th in 21:27.1 with Emma Gross close behind in 10th at 21:41.1. The Beal City boys and girls will look to continue to improve next Tuesday as they host the Beal City Invitational with the varsity boys leading off at 4:00.
