The Big Rapids golf team took 2nd place at the Whitehall Invitational on Thursday shooting a 360.
North Muskegon took 1st with a 359. Hope Thebo continues to play well. She was 3rd overall with an 82. Payton Fuller posted her personal best and took 4th with a 90. Holly McKenna shot a 92, which was good for 5th. Lauren Posey shot 96 and earned 7th place. Valley Seay shot 97 and was in 10th place. Avery Chaput shot a 99 and was in 11th overall.
“This is the 3rd tournament that we have now took 2nd place,” Big Rapids coach Mark Posey said. “Each time we seem to just miss out by a stroke or two. I love how the girls have a great attitude toward each other and how they go out each day trying to get a little better.”
Big Rapids is back in action next Wednesday for conference play at Tri County and then again on Thursday in Holt.
