On Aug. 21. the Beal City Cross Country teams were at to the Chippewa Hills Early Season Warrior Invitational and competed in a pouring rain on a muddy course. With nine schools in the small school division, the Aggie boys placed third. After racing a two-mile course in their opening meet, this course covered the 5k distance that will be standard for the rest of the season. A 5th place finish in 18:17.1 by Alex Taylor led the team with Derek Gross next in 17th at 20:32.2. Levi Eisenbach (20:45.7) was 19th, Nathan Reihl (21:42.1) 25th, and Matthew Kolb (21:54.9) 29th to complete the Aggie scoring. Rachal Weber placed 11th in 22:57.3 and Emma Gross was 19th at 24:47.7 in their first varsity 5k race.
