Midland Dow High’s volleyball team took 5th out of 20 teams on Saturday at the Legacy Invite at Schoolcraft College. Dow finished 2-1-1 on the day and lost in the quarterfinals of gold division in a 3-set thriller to Brighton High School (eventual champions) 25-22, 12-25, 14-16. Some key performers were Isabel Velasquez with 31 kills, Charis Queary with 62 assists and Ainsley Lacey with 31 digs on the day. Dow’s new coach is CJ Blaha.
