Reese’s football team opened the season by defeating Marlette 27-7 on Friday. The last time the two teams met was in 2015 with Marlette posting a 27-26 win. The Rockets were 3-6 last year and hope to return to the playoffs this season. They start the Great Thumb West League against Elkton Piegon Bay Port next week.
