Belding began its soccer season with a tough loss against the Ionia Bulldogs 2-1 on Monday. Reddeck McMeeken had his first goal of the early season off a free kick from 25 yards out nicely placing it the upper left corner. With time expiring McMeeken had an opportunity to equalize the score off a free kick to have the Bulldogs keeper get his finger tips on it and push it out of the top left corner. Belding’s next game is on Friday at home against Greenville.
