Ionia opens its 2016 football season at Charlotte Aug. 25, at Owosso Sept. 1 and at Eaton Rapids Sept 9. Ionia also plays at Fowlerville on Oct. 7 and at McBain on Oct. 14. Home games at Sept. 16 with Williamston, Sept. 23 with Portland, Sept. 30 with Lansing Catholic and Oct. 21 with Lakewood.
