Damon Scheidt is among the promising Farwell football players who should help the Eagles in their drive for a winning season. He’s a strong side linebacker and a right guard, and he starts both ways. He’s been on varsity two seasons and started both ways last year, also.

“Last year, we had a new coach, and we were trying to get the feel of things,” he said. “We didn’t do that well. This year we’re doing way better. We have more intensity. We all feel better as a team and a family.

“We’re stronger as a team and we bond more and have been working together since summer. We’re going to keep the intensity high and keep going.”

The Eagles hope to do well in the Jack Pine Conference.

“You have to keep your head focused and keep going hard,” Scheidt said.
