The Ithaca Girls Softball Team File
A pair of Ithaca softball players earned all-state honors in Division 3 this spring. Senior third baseman Courtney Cooley made first team by hitting .470 and by batting in 32 runs. Junior outfielder Brooklyn Dolloff earned honorable-mention honors. She hit over .540 this season, with four home runs and 39 stolen bases.

The Boyd Hubbard File
Hubbard, a senior at Alma, was selected as this year’s Ann Jarrett Championship Panther Award winner. The award is given to the Alma athlete who best exemplifies the values expected from all athletes at Alma. Hubbard will be continuing his career at Alma College next year with the football and wrestling teams.

The Connor Proctor File
Proctor, a pitcher for the Fulton softball team, earned first-team all-state honors in Division 4 this year. Proctor, who helped Fulton reach the district final, went 19-11 this season with a 1.64 ERA and 313 strikeouts. She also hit .454.

The Joshua Coston File
A senior thrower for the Carson City-Crystal boys track team, Costen won the Division 3 state championship in the discus with a toss of 161’3″. He also qualified for the state meet in the shot put. Costen won the regional title in the discus and placed second in the shot put and won the Mid States Athletic Conference title in the discus and was second in the shot put.

The Wade San Miguel File
A senior pitcher and shortstop for Breckenridge, San Miguel earned second-team all-state honors in Division 4. At the plate, he hit .438 with 11 doubles, three home runs, and two triples. He also scored 32 runs and batted in 37 runs. As a pitcher, he went 9-1, with a 0.99 ERA and 71 strikeouts.

For the third straight season, the Alma girls soccer team earned Academic All-State honors. Alma players Maggie Bever, Sydney Hanson, and Tia Everdeen also earned first-team all-conference honors, while Jessica Hollaman and Cali Ackels earned honorable-mention all-conference honors.
