Okemos junior volleyball student-athlete Daria Richards was recently offered an athletic scholarship and recently committed to Baylor University, a member of the Big 12 athletic conference. The 6-1 middle blocker had an excellent junior season with first team All-Region and All-CAAC Blue honors and was selected to the Lansing State Journal Dream Team. Richards is also a standout in the classroom, maintaining a 3.9 GPA. She is a member of the Oakland Elite Volleyball Club. Richards will be one of the state’s top returning players for the 2015 volleyball season.
