Alma seniors Damian Castillo and Boyd Hubbard both surpassed the 150-win mark for their careers. Hubbard is ranked third in the state at 171 pounds in Division 3 this season, while Castillo is ranked ninth at 135 pounds.
Leslie junior Kanen Storr continues to cement his reputation as one of the best 135-pounders in the state. Ranked No. 1 in Division 3, he defeated Jaedin Sklapsky of Eaton Rapids, who is top-ranked in Division 2, at the Williamston Invitational.
Bay City Western junior Blake Jackson surpassed the 100-win mark. Jackson is ranked ninth in the state in Division 2 at 130 pounds.
The Owosso wrestling team had a pair of wrestlers finish in the top four at the Williamston Invitational. Drew Gonzalez took second at 103 pounds while Jacob Fisher placed fourth at 125.
Farwell sophomore Glenn Beardsley is having a strong season. He is ranked second in the state at 130 pounds and took first place at the Williamston Invitational.
Montrose senior Arthur Payne went over the 150-win mark for his career as he helped the Rams to a 5-0 record at the Almont tournament. Payne is ranked second in the state in Division 4 at 119 pounds.
Hemlock junior Stewart Massa is ranked in the top ten at 103 pounds in Division 3. Massa also won the 103-pound title at the Saginaw County meet. His teammate, junior Landon Honsinger, is ranked eighth in the state at 119 pounds.
Freeland’s Kolten Radaz won the 135-pound title at the Saginaw County meet. Fellow Falcon Graham Fitken, a senior, is ranked 10th in the state at 140 pounds.
Williamston junior Maddox Maki is one of the top heavyweights in the state. He is ranked second in the state in Division 3 and took second place at the Williamston Invitational.
East Lansing senior Brian Darios is the top-ranked heavyweight in the state. East Lansing also has a state-ranked wrestler at 103 pounds, as freshman Ben Kamali is ranked ninth.
Grand Blanc has a pair of state-ranked wrestlers. Senior Noah Gonser, a two-time state placer, is ranked third at 125 pounds, while sophomore Cole Kemper is ranked fourth at 140. Kemper went 5-0 at the South Lyon Invitational.
Rockford senior Jared Bennett is ranked second in the state at 119 pounds. Bennett is closing in on 150 career wins. His lone loss this season came against nationally-ranked Devin Schroder of Grand Rapids Catholic Central.
